The Arlington County Police Department is currently investigating a robbery on South Hayes Street. ACPD reports that it responded to a report of shots heard in the 1100 block of South Hayes Street around 5:40 p.m. on Saturday.

ACPD says it was determined that no shooting had occurred. Instead, it is believed that there was a robbery in which four or five suspects broke a glass display case with a hammer and deployed a fire extinguisher.

No injuries were reported during the incident. ACPD is currently searching for four to five black male suspects. No other details are available at this time. Anyone with information should contact ACPD’s Tip Line at 703-228-4180.
