The Greenville Police Department is currently investigating the murder-suicide of an elderly man and his wife. GPD reports that its officers responded to the 1300 block of All Saints Circle in reference to a man who had shot himself around 7:20 a.m. on Friday.

At the scene, officers learned that there was a domestic dispute involving a husband and a wife at the residence. At some point, shots were fired. At this time, it is alleged that the suspect who was from Arkansas came to the residence where he shot his wife.

Then, he allegedly turned the gun on himself. Authorities have identified the suspect as 58-year-old Adalberto Mondragon and the victim has been identified as 59-year-old Estela Mondragon.

Both were transported to Delta Health Systems where Estela passed away. The suspect, Adalberto, was transported to another facility for further treatment.
