The Eugene Police Department has announced an arrest in connection to a rape on Fern Ridge Trail/Amazon Creek. Around 10:50 a.m. on August 8, 2024, EPD officers responded to a report of a rape by an unknown male.

The female reported that the suspect was white around 40 with brown hair. At the time, the suspect was pushing a bicycle that he used to flee from the scene. On September 30, 2024, EPD’s Violent Crimes Unit announced the arrest of 42-year-old Timothy Joel Colnar.

Colnar is charged with Rape in the First Degree, Sexual Penetration, Sex Abuse in the Third Degree, and Assault in the Fourth Degree.
