The Greensboro Police Department has identified the victim in a homicide on Randleman Road early Sunday morning. GPD reports that its officers, Greensboro Fire personnel, and Guilford County EMS responded to 2347 Randleman Road for a cardiac/respiratory arrest call around 3:03 a.m. on Sunday.

At the scene, officers found 45-year-old Brandy Elaine Wright unresponsive in the parking lot suffering from trauma consistent with an assault and stabbing. The victim succumbed to her injuries at the scene.

GPD says the murder is the 29th in the city this year.
