On Saturday night, the Cambridge Police Department responded to a shooting. CPD reports that its officers were informed of a Shot Spotter alert for multiple shots fired in the 1000 block of Pine Street just before 9 p.m. on September 28, 2024.

As officers responded to the scene, dispatch received information that a subject had suffered a gunshot wound in the 600 block of North Drive. Officers found a 27-year-old male suffering from a gunshot wound to the leg.

Dorchester County EMS responded and transported the victim to Tidal Health Peninsula Regional Medical Center with a non-life-threatening injury. CPD says officers found three vehicles that had been damaged by gunfire.

Multiple spent handgun caliber shell casings, spent rifle caliber ammunition, and several bullet projectiles were also found at the scene. No other details are available at this time. Anyone with information is asked to call CPD’s Criminal Investigation Division at 410-901-8457.
