The Columbus County Sheriff’s Office has announced an arrest in the death of 38-year-old Shanna Denise Perry. CCSO reports that 47-year-old Lance Arrington Sandlin IV was arrested this afternoon and charged with murder.

Sandlin is being held without bond at the CCSO Detention Center. Authorities say the investigation into Perry’s disappearance began in May 2024. Despite extensive searches, she has never been found.

CCSO has been assisted by the North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation. CCSO says it will continue searching for Shanna tonight. The investigation is active. At this time, no other details are available.
