The Visalia Police Department has arrested a suspect in connection to a double stabbing at the Visalia Rescue Mission. VPD reports that its officers responded to a stabbing at the Mission around 5 p.m. on Saturday.

At the scene, responding officers found two men suffering from stab wounds. VPD says 60-year-old Claudio Banderas was arrested at the scene. Two victims and the suspect were transported to Kaweah Health for treatment.

One victim remains in critical condition. Once Banderas is released from the hospital, he will be booked into the Tulare County Adult Pre-Trial Facility for Attempted Murder and Assault with a Deadly Weapon.
