Right now, the Laurens Police Department is on the scene of a shooting. On social media, LPD reports that its officers responded to a shooting in the area of South Harper Street. The announcement was made around 8 p.m. on September 21.

LPD confirms one suspect is in custody. It is believed that the shooting is an isolated incident and there is no danger to the public. There is no information the any victim at this time.
