The Fargo Police Department is in the process of investigating a fatal shooting that occurred early Saturday morning. FPD reports that the incident happened around 1:15 a.m. outside a residence in the 1300 block of 8th Avenue North.

Officers responded to the scene where they found an adult male victim deceased from at least one gunshot wound. FPD says the suspected shooter has been identified as Tyreik Taylor-Roberts.

The suspect reportedly lives at the residence and was taken into custody without incident. A weapon believed to be used in the shooting was recovered at the scene. FPD says Roberts admitted to being the shooter.
