The Naugatuck Police Department has announced the arrest of a father accused of abusing his child. NPD reports that it received a notification from the Connecticut Department of Children and Families about possible child abuse of a four-month-old on August 12, 2024.
The Connecticut Children’s Medical Center evaluated the infant. Authorities say it was determined that the infant had several unexplained injuries to the ribs, legs, and ear. Detectives interviewed the parents before obtaining an arrest warrant for 31-year-old David Alexander.
On September 18, 2024, Alexander was taken into custody on charges of Reckless Endangerment and Risk of Injury. Alexander was arraigned and was being held on a $200,000 bond.
