The Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office has announced the arrest of 46-year-old Omar Moore Lozado in connection to the death of 55-year-old Brian Kermit Bare. FCSO reports that Lozado of Winston-Salem had been charged with murder.

On September 15, 2024, FCSO deputies responded to the 2700 block of Kecoughtan Road in Pfatafftown for a report of an assault. At the scene, responding deputies found a male deceased from gunshot wounds.

Investigators identified the victim as Brian Kermit Bare. Authorities allege that the suspect is Omar Moore Lozado. Lozado is charged with Felony Murder, Second Degree Kidnapping, Discharge of a Weapon into Occupied Property, and Possession of Firearm by a Felon.

At this time, Lozado is being held without bond.
