The Splendora Police Department has confirmed the apprehension of a man wanted for homicide. SPD reports that its officer witnessed a driver disregard a stop sign at the intersection of Business 59 and FM 2090 earlier today.

The driver turned out to be Mauro Martinez Montano who was wanted for Negligence Homicide. Once the driver was identified, the officer learned of the man’s wanted status for Aggravated Assault Serious Bodily Injury and Negligent Homicide.

Mauro Montano was taken into custody and booked into the Montgomery County Jail.
