The Starkville Police Department has announced an arrest in connection to a murder overnight. SPD reports that 15-year-old McKenzie Robinson has been charged with murder and two counts of aggravated assault.

Around 10:07 p.m. on September 6, 2024, multiple people were arguing at the Brookville Garden Apartments at 305 Everglade Avenue. SPD says Robinson was in a vehicle during an altercation that struck multiple people.

A 59-year-old woman was killed and two others were injured. No other details are available at this time.
