Hispanic man wanted for unlawful touching at the University of Maryland

The University of Maryland Police Department is currently searching for a suspect wanted for 4th Degree Sex Offense (Unlawful Touching). UMPD reports that its officers responded to the 4600 block of College Avenue for a report of unlawful touching around 11:27 a.m. on September 6, 2024.

A female student reported that she was walking along College Avenue near the intersection of Princeton Avenue and College Avenue around 11:03 a.m. A young man approached and began asking her questions.

At some point during the interaction, the suspect touched her inappropriately before fleeing down College Avenue and onto the hiker-biker trail. UMPD says the victim described the suspect as a Hispanic man with straight black hair. He was around 5’6” and 5’7” tall.
