A 45-year-old Jiggs, Nevada man has been arrested for Kidnapping and Luring. The Eureka County Sheriff’s Office reports that it developed information of a kidnapping on September 4, 2024.

ECSO says it was determined that the victim had been taken outside of Eureka County. The suspect has been identified as 45-year-old Martin Arellano Gonzalez. ECSO deputies, detectives, and sergeants searched for the suspect.

Authorities say Gonzalez made statements to others suggesting he was going to flee to Mexico to avoid capture. A dispatcher confirmed he had left Eureka County. The suspect was later located in Fernley and taken into custody.

Gonzalez was returned to Eureka and booked into the Eureka County Detention Center for Kidnapping and Luring a Minor. He is being held without bail.
