The Polk County Sheriff’s Office has announced the arrest of a male teacher at Hardin ISD for allegedly having sex with a Polk County School District student. On August 23, 2024, PCSO detectives met with Chief Dunaway with the Onalaska Police Department. The meeting was about a possible teacher and student relationship investigation.

PCSO says it was determined that a male teacher employed at Hardin ISD was having an inappropriate relationship with a female student enrolled in a Polk County School District. The female student and adult male teacher were interviewed.

Authorities say it was determined that the female student allowed the teacher to pick her up and take her to a location in Polk County where he allegedly performed sexual acts on her in the back of his vehicle.

An arrest warrant for Improper Relationship Between Educator/Student was obtained for the arrest of 39-year-old Jahmall Le’Sean Thomas of Dayton, Texas. Thomas was arrested on September 3, 2024.
