Calvert County detectives are investigating an early morning shooting that happened on Sark Court in Prince Frederick Friday. Authorities say deputies from the Calvert County Patrol Bureau responded to a report of a shooting on Sark Court around 7:05 AM on December 1, 2023. Upon arrival, deputies located a juvenile male who was suffering from a gunshot wound to the upper body.

The victim was flown to a trauma center in stable condition. Witnesses advised that a masked male suspect was spotted leaving the scene in a black SUV, according to authorities. Detectives with the Criminal Investigations Bureau responded and took over the investigation. Authorities say this does not appear to be a random act.
