Hampton Police arrest suspect in connection to Tractor Supply robbery

The Hampton Police Department has announced an arrest in the burglary of the Tractor Supply at 1317 Elm Street West. On September 1, 2024, HPD says its officers responded to the Tractor Supply following an overnight burglary.

The decision was made to call in SLED Crime Scene because of the value of the property taken and the forensic evidence left at the scene. HPD reports that the items taken were worth around $50,000.

On September 4, 2024, authorities arrested Lamar Mixson for Burglary 2nd Degree and Grand Larceny. Mixson has been booked into the Hampton County Detention Center. A search warrant was carried out at a residence on Willard Street.

Authorities say physical evidence from the burglary was located. Several suspects have been detained. More charges are pending at this time.
