The Logan Township Police Department has announced an arrest following a violent assault at the Rodeway Inn at 1500 Sterling Street. On September 2, 2024, LTPD responded to a domestic disturbance and possible hostage situation at the motel.
At the scene, officers spoke to the caller who said he had seen a male, Robert Foor III, and a female arguing in the parking lot. The female was reportedly observed upset and crying. The caller approached and attempted to de-escalate the situation.
Foor invited him to step inside. All three entered the room. Once inside, it is alleged that Foor grabbed the female victim by the throat, slammed her to the bed, and struck her in the face several times.
Then, Foor allegedly slammed the door, locked it, and said no one was going to leave and they were all going to die. Foor allegedly admitted to having several weapons under the mattress in the room and claimed he’d shoot them in the face.
The caller was eventually allowed to leave the room to retrieve a Valium for Foor at which time he called 911. Authorities say the female victim had visible redness around her neck. She claimed that Foor grabbed her by the throat with both hands, threw her on the floor, and held her there.
The victim said she was unable to breathe and was struck in the face causing her teeth to break out and fall out of her mouth. Officers reportedly found several broken teeth and teeth falling out of the victim’s mouth.
During a search of the room, police did not find any weapons. Foor was booked into the Blair County Prison. He has been arranged on charges of Aggravated Assault, Strangulation, Unlawful Restraint, Terroristic Threats, Simple Assault, Simple Assault Physical Menace, False Imprisonment, and Harassment.
