The Phoenix Police Department confirms that two of its officers have been shot. On Tuesday night, PPD reported that two Phoenix Police Department officers were shot in the line of duty. One officer is in critical condition.

The other officer is in stable condition. PPD says one person has been detained. The investigation is ongoing. No other details are available at this time. The incident happened in the area of 16th Street and McDowell Road.
