The Stockton Police Department has arrested a 33-year-old suspect in a fatal shooting on August 29, 2024. SPD reports that officers responded to the 100 block of East Iris Avenue for a person shot around 2:23 a.m. on August 29.

At the scene, responding officers found a 33-year-old male victim suffering from at least one gunshot wound. The victim was transported to an area hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.

Homicide Detectives have been investigating since the murder. On September 2, 2024, SPD reported that 33-year-old Quincy Walker had been taken into custody. He was booked into the San Joaquin County Jail on homicide-related charges.
