The Boston Police Department is investigating a double shooting that killed one and injured another. BPD reports that District C-11 officers responded to the area of Washington Street and Erie Street for a report of two people shot around 12:55 p.m. on September 2, 2024.

At the scene, officers found two adult males suffering from gunshot wounds. BPD does not believe this was a random act. The victims were transported to an area hospital where one succumbed to his injuries.
