Stafford County Sheriff David Decatur reports that a suspect has been arrested in connection to a stabbing at Mr. B’s Exxon in the 300 block of Warrenton Road. Deputies responded to a stabbing at the location around 9:31 a.m. on September 1, 2024.

A deputy arrived at the scene and found an adult male victim suffering from multiple stab wounds. The victim was transported to an area hospital with life-threatening injuries. Sheriff Decatur reports that the suspect was identified as 22-year-old J’Lei Bland of Stafford.

Deputies learned that Bland was at a residence on Anvil Road. SWAT and Drone Teams apprehended the suspect without incident. Bland is charged with Attempted Murder and Malicious Wounding.

He is currently being held at the Rappahannock Regional Jail without bond.
