Spokane County Sheriff’s Office arrests suspects in missing person case of Robert Abbott

The Spokane County Sheriff’s Office has announced the arrests of three individuals in connection to the missing person case of Robert B. Abbott. Major Crimes Detectives now consider the case a homicide investigation.

Three suspects were identified and probable cause was obtained for their arrests. On Wednesday morning, two suspects were taken into custody with help from Kalispel Tribal Authorities and Airway Heights Police Officers.

Later, a third suspect was arrested. Detectives have been investigating the incident since April when 62-year-old Abbott was reported missing by his wife. Abbott’s remains have not been located at this time.

51-year-old Richard L. Trower, his wife 52-year-old Teri L. Trower, and 43-year-old Heather L. Lewis have been taken into custody. Richard Trower is charged with Murder 2nd Degree, Residential Burglary, Taking a Motor Vehicle Without Permission 2nd Degree, Theft 2nd Degree, and Trafficking in Stolen Property.

Teri Trower is charged with Traffic in Stolen Property and Rendering Criminal Assistance 1st Degree. Heather Lewis is charged with Murder 2nd Degree, Residential Burglary, Taking a Motor Vehicle Without Permission 2nd Degree, and Theft 2nd Degree.
