The Little Rock Police Department is investigating a homicide that occurred on Saturday night. LRPD reports that its officers responded to 1315 Adams Street just before 9:30 p.m. for an assist medical call for service.

At the scene, responding LRPD officers found a female victim unresponsive suffering from injuries consistent with blunt force trauma. The victim was transported to an area hospital where she succumbed to her injuries.

LRPD says officers secured the scene and the investigation was initiated. No other details are available at this time.
