The Virgin Islands Police Department is investigating after two people were found deceased inside a burned vehicle. VIPD reports that two deceased individuals were found in a burnt vehicle near the beach close to the former Good Hope School in Frederiksted.

Authorities received a call around 5:08 p.m. on August 23, 2024 and responded to the scene. VIPD’s CIB, Forensic Unit, and the Emergency Medical and Frie Services are actively working at the scene.

The deceased victims have not been identified at this time.
