The Burlington County Prosecutor LaChia L. Bradshaw has announced charges against a paraprofessional who works at Seneca High School in Tabernacle. Bradshaw announced that 42-year-old Michael Van Kline of Lumberton had been charged with using social media to have sexual conversations with a student.
It is alleged that Kline convinced the student to send him nude photos and suggested meeting to have sex. On August 22, 2024, Kline was taken into custody and charged with Endangering the Welfare of a Child (Third Degree).
Kline was booked into the Burling County Jail before being released on Friday. The investigation was initiated after authorities received information that Kline may have inappropriately communicated with a student electronically.
Details are being withheld to protect the identity of the victim. Lenape Regional High School District officials confirm Van Kline will not be permitted on school grounds or school functions.
