The Baltimore Police Department says it has arrested a suspect in the death of 38-year-old Sierra Johnson. BPD reports that officers responded to a residence in the 800 block of Abbott Court for a call for service around 8:56 a.m. on July 14, 2024.

At the scene, officers entered the residence and found a female victim suffering from trauma to the head. The victim was later identified as 38-year-old Sierra Johnson. BPD says officers canvassed the area and found 36-year-old Bryan Cherry in the 1300 block of Homewood Avenue.

Detectives suspect that Cherry physically assaulted the victim causing her death. Cherry has been charged with First-Degree Murder and other charges.
