The Fremont Police Department has announced the arrest of a 25-year-old man following an investigation into multiple sexual assaults. FPD reports that 25-year-old Brandon Duran was taken into custody on August 22, 2024.

The investigation was initiated when multiple juvenile victims and students at the California School for the Deaf reported sexual assaults that occurred at locations in Fremont and Livermore.

FPD says it determined that a teaching assistant at the school, Brandon Duran, was linked to at least three separate incidents. Duran is charged with Annoying and Molesting a Child, Oral Copulation with a Minor, Oral Copulation with a Victim too Intoxicated to Resist, Contact with a Minor with the Intent to Commit a Sexual Offense,  and Unlawful Sexual Penetration.

Duran is currently being held in the Santa Rita Jail. FPD detectives are actively looking for additional victims. Anyone with information is asked to call Crimes Against Persons Detective Ana Santana at 510-513-1091.
