The Arkansas State Police have announced an arrest in connection to the death of a Dumas man over the weekend. ASP reports that 39-year-old Della Marshall has been taken into custody.

The case was investigated by the Dumas Police Department and ASP’s Criminal Investigation Division. Around 12:45 p.m. on August 17, 2024, a family member calls DPD to request a welfare check at the residence of 36-year-old Jason Nalls at 128 Clayton Drive.

DPD officers reached the scene and entered an apartment where they found Nalls deceased from a gunshot wound. The Desha County Coroner’s Office pronounced the victim deceased at 6:45 p.m.

Marshall is currently being held at the Arkansas County Sheriff’s Office with a $300,000 bail.
