The Centralia Police Department has announced the arrest of a former teacher wanted on a rape warrant. CPD reports that it began investigating allegations against a former female Centralia Middle School teacher named Natasha Polk.
It was alleged that Polk had been engaging in a sexual relationship with a 13-year-old male student. The acts allegedly occurred in 2020 when the victim was in the 8th grade and they continued until after the student completed middle school.
CPD reports that the investigation indicated that Polk provided the victim with marijuana, alcohol, and vapes. She is accused of using her status as an educator to gain access to the victim while he was incarcerated at Lewis County Juvenile.
Polk allegedly drove the victim from Centralia to her apartment in Lacey where they had sex. In 2021, Polk reportedly moved to West Sacramento but remained in contact with the victim.
At one point, she allegedly traveled back to Washington to visit the victim and rented an AIRBNB in Tacoma where she allegedly had sex with the victim. A warrant was requested to arrest Polk who was currently employed with the Davis Joint Unified School District. On August 21, 2024, Polk was arrested at her residence in West Sacramento.
She is currently at the Yolo County Jail awaiting extradition to Lewis County.
