According to a news release from the US Attorney’s Office for the Central District of California, a former pediatrician has been sentenced to 90 months for possessing child sexual abuse material on dozens of DVDs. The accused also possessed hundreds of such images on personal computing devices. 62-year-old Gary David Goulin, of the Beverly Grove neighborhood of Los Angeles, was sentenced to 90 months and ordered to pay a $50,000 fine.

Goulin will be required to register as a sex offender and will be placed on supervised release for 15 years following his release from prison. He pleaded guilty to one count of possession of child pornography. In November 2021, authorities say Goulin possessed four DVDs that contained sexually explicit material involving minors under 12. Goulin also admitted to possessing 57 additional DVDs that contained child sexual abuse material.

Some of the images showed children engaging in sadistic or masochistic conduct.
