Update – The Lenoir County Sheriff’s Office has arrested 41-year-old Kevin Lee Morris for Attempted Murder, Robbery with a Dangerous Weapon, and Possession of a Stolen Firearm. LCSO says the shooting occurred at Brown’s Plant and Seeds on August 7, 2024.

Morris was apprehended at a residence at 4074 Highway 258 South around 9 p.m. on Thursday.

Original – The Lenoir County Sheriff’s Office is currently searching for an attempted murder suspect. LCSO reports that an attempted murder warrant has been issued for the suspected shooter in the shooting on August 7 at Brown’s Plant and Seeds on Highway 285 North.

LCSO has issued warrants for 41-year-old Kevin Lee Morris of Kinston for Attempted Murder, Robbery with a Dangerous Weapon, and Possession of a Stolen Firearm. Morris remains at large.
