Former St. Johns County daycare worker gets 70 years in prison for child sexual abuse

The State Attorney for Florida’s 7th Circuit reports that a former St. Johns County daycare worker has been sentenced to 70 years for child sexual abuse. Anthony Guadalupe was sentenced to 70 years and lifetime sex offender probation.

Guadalupe will also be designated a sexual predator. In June, he was found guilty of 12 counts of Lewd and Lascivious Molestation on a person less than 12 years of age, one count of Attempted Lewd and Lascivious Molestation, and three counts of Committing Unnatural or Lascivious Act.

The former daycare employee committed the crimes during the summer of 2022 while working at Chappell Schools in the Durbin Crossing neighborhood.
