The Cape Girardeau Police Department has announced the arrest of a local woman for the sexual assault of a juvenile. CGPD reports that officers arrested 28-year-old Carly Wyatt around 3 p.m. on August 15, 2024.

On August 12, 2024, investigators spoke to a juvenile who reported she had been involved in a sexual assault involving Wyatt. The juvenile reportedly said that all incidents occurred at Wyatt’s home in Cape Girardeau, Missouri.

CGPD says the juvenile disclosed that Wyatt gave alcohol to the juvenile even though they were under the age of 21. The juvenile reportedly said this had happened multiple times since July 4, 2024.

Wyatt was formally charged with Statutory Sodomy in the Second Degree Xs 4. She is being held on a $100,000 cash bond.
