The Natchitoches Parish Sheriff’s Office reports that it recovered a stolen truck and camper following a complaint about a suspicious vehicle. Around 1:30 p.m. on August 13, 2024, NPSO deputies responded to NATCOM 911 Center reports of a suspicious vehicle and camper abandoned off the Mammy Trail and Rice Road near Goldonna, Louisiana.

Deputies responded to the scene where they found a Nissan Titan pickup truck and an XLR Hyper Lite camper parked near a wooded area. Deputies ran the vehicle identification numbers and confirmed both were reported stolen.

The truck was reported stolen in Natchitoches Parish on August 3. The camper was reported stolen in Texas. The camper and truck were impounded so they could be picked up by the owners at a later time.
