The Allegheny County Police Department is currently investigating a double fatal shooting in Homestead. ACPD says County 911 was notified of shots fired inside a residence in the 100 block of West 15th Avenue around 4:14 p.m. on August 13, 2024.

At the scene, first responders found a deceased adult male and a deceased adult female inside the residence. Detectives started an investigation. ACPD says the preliminary information suggests Homestead Police responded to the shots fired call.

Officers hailed the residence and received no response. A SWAT team responded believing a suspect was inside. When SWAT entered the home, they found the victims. No other details are available at this time.
