The Harris County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a homicide in the Remington Ranch subdivision. According to a news release, deputies with the Harris County Sheriff’s Office responded to a shooting in the 1000 block of Grassy View Drive on November 29, 2023. Harris County Emergency Corps reached the scene and pronounced the victim deceased.

Investigators learned that a 56-year-old Hispanic male had returned from work at around 2:20 PM and was confronted by two to three black males in his driveway. Investigators believe the suspects attempted to rob the victim. One of the males fatally shot the victim before fleeing on foot. Homicide investigators say they are reviewing surveillance video from the neighborhood to try to identify the suspects.
