A suspect was shot by Warner Robins Police Department officers on Monday night. WRPD reports that officers responded to an incident involving a black male in a front yard brandishing a firearm at 204 North 6th Street.
At the scene, the responding unit attempted to contact the suspect. The suspect allegedly discharged his firearm and attempted to force entry into the location. Additional shots were fired by the suspect and officers.
The suspect was struck by gunfire and transported to Houston Healthcare-Watson campus for treatment. Chief Wayne Fisher requested the Georgia Bureau of Investigation to investigate the shooting.
