The Salem Police Department is currently looking for a 27-year-old in connection to a 2023 homicide case. On February 13, 2023, gunfire rang out following a verbal dispute between multiple men in the street near Arbon Drive and Vallejo Street Northeast.

SPD says the shooting left Alejandro Silva-Ramirez and two others with gunshot wounds. 27-year-old Silva-Ramirez succumbed to his injuries at the scene. An adult victim and a teen victim survived their injuries.

SPD says the investigation led to 33-year-old Fermin Flores being identified as the suspect in the fatal shooting. Flores also uses the name Alejandro Chavez. A warrant is out for his arrest on a charge of Second-Degree Murder.
