The New Hartford Police Department has arrested a suspect who was caught inside a residence during a burglary attempt. NHPD reports that its officers responded to a residence on Mayberry Place for a report of an unidentified man inside a residence around 4 p.m. on August 9, 2024.

At the scene, officers learned that a caretaker arrived to check the property and found someone inside. The caretaker ran to a neighbor’s residence and called 911. NHPD officers set up a perimeter around the residence in question.

A short time later, officers entered the home and found a man hiding inside. 39-year-old Arabian Parker was taken into custody. He is charged with Burglary in the Second Degree, Petit Larceny, and False Personation.

Parker was booked into the Oneida County Jail where he waits arraignment.
