The Baltimore Police Department is currently investigating a shooting that injured a woman on Friday evening. BPD reports that Southwest District officers responded to the 1100 block of West Lombard Street for a reported discharging of a firearm around 6:08 p.m. on August 9, 2024.

At the scene, BPD officers found a 42-year-old woman inside a vehicle suffering from multiple gunshots to the body. The victim was transported to an area hospital in critical condition. Homicide detectives responded due to the severity of the victim’s injuries.
