20-Year-Old Oswego Man Arraigned On Manslaughter Charge In Joshua A. Guzman’s Killing

New York State Police have arrested a 20-year-old suspect in Dekalb Junction homicide. Jaydion T. Carrow of Oswego, New York has been arraigned on first-degree manslaughter in the Town of Canton Court.

Carrow was involved in a physical altercation with the victim, 21-year-old Joshua A. Guzman, on October 29, 2023, on Wells Street in Dekalb Junction. During the altercation, Guzman of Hermon, New York, sustained severe head injuries and was pronounced deceased by SUNY Upstate Medical University Hospital staff the following day.

The Medical Examiner’s Office in Onondaga County determined Guzman’s cause of death to be multiple blunt force injuries to the head. The manner of death was ruled a homicide on November 1, 2023.

Carrow has a court date scheduled for Monday, January 22, 2024, at 1:30 p.m. in the Town of Canton Court.
