The Navajo County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the death of a nine-year-old girl. NCSO reports that its deputies responded to a 911 call in the 2500 block of South Drive in Overgaard (Aripine).
The caller reported that a 9-year-old female was attacked by the family dogs. NCSO says the victim was at home with many family members and ran outside to turn off a water spigot. The dogs often interact and are familiar with the children.
For unknown reasons, the dogs attacked the child causing severe physical trauma. The child ultimately succumbed to his injuries. No other details are available at this time.
