A 76-year-old man from Hackensack, New Jersey has been charged in connection to an alleged sexual assault of a juvenile under 13. Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella announced that Phillip Porter had been arrested on charges of aggravated sexual assault, sexual assault by contact, and endangering the welfare of a child.
The investigation was carried out by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office under the direction of Acting Chief Matthew Finck and the Hackensack Police Department under the direction of Officer in Charge Captain Michael Antista. On March 23, 2024, HPD contacted the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit in reference to an alleged sexual assault of a juvenile that happened in the past.
Authorities say the investigation indicated that Phillip Porter sexually assaulted a juvenile under the age of 13 in Hackensack, New Jersey. On March 25, 2024, Porter was charged with First-Degree Aggravated Sexual Assault, Second-Degree Sexual Assault by Contact, and Second-Degree Endangering the Welfare of a Child.
Porter was taken into custody in Paramus and remanded to the Bergen County Jail.
