75-year-old Terrell Eugene Giddens has been arrested in connection to an alleged road rage incident. Giddens is charged with one count of Murder and three counts of Attempted First Degree Murder.

The Catawba County Sheriff’s Office reports that its deputies responded to a reported shooting at the intersection of Island Point Road and North View Harbour Drive just before 5 p.m. on Saturday.

Authorities say deputies found an adult male deceased from apparent gunshot wounds at the scene. Eyewitnesses reportedly told deputies that another man shot the victim once they stopped and exited their vehicles.

The shooter is also accused of firing multiple rounds into the victim’s vehicle. At the time, the victim’s vehicle was occupied by his three children, aged 13, 11, and two. Those victims were not injured.

Eyewitnesses provided deputies with descriptions for the vehicle and suspect. Authorities say Terrell Eugene Giddens was arrested at a residence in the 9000 block of Sherrills Ford Road. At this time, he is being held without bond.
