The Mountain View Police Department has announced the arrest of a Graham Middle School teacher for allegedly inappropriately touching a 12-year-old female student. MVPD reports that the student reported inappropriate conduct from a teacher.
It is alleged that the teacher, 59-year-old Ralph Turner of Sunnyvale, inappropriately touched the victim. Once the Mountain View Whisman School District was made aware of the allegations, Turner was placed on administrative leave.
MVPD detectives say they interviewed the victim and other students who may have been witnesses or victims. As a result of the investigation, detectives obtained an arrest warrant for Turner for Annoying and Molesting a Child under 14 and False Imprisonment.
On June 5 around 1 p.m., Turner was taken into custody without incident. Detectives believe there could be additional victims out there. Anyone with information is asked to contact Detective Guillermo de Lira at guillermo.delira@mountainview.gov.
