The Birmingham Police Department has arrested a 31-year-old Birmingham woman in connection to the fatal shooting of Joshua Hays. BPD reports that detectives obtained an arrest warrant for 31-year-old Kayla White.
The victim, Hayes, was fatally shot in the 900 block of Navarro Lane on April 2, 2024. On June 6, 2024, officers with the Helena Police Department notified BPD detectives that Kayla White had been arrested on a Murder warrant during a traffic stop.
White is being held in the Jefferson County Jail with no bond.
