A 31-year-old man has been arrested in connection to a drive-by shooting incident in Spokane, Washington. The Spokane Police Department reports it arrested a male suspect in connection to the shooting that occurred on April 18, 2024 in the 5900 block of North Lindeke Street.
SPD says the suspect has been receiving medical treatment since the shooting. The suspect is charged with Drive By Shooting, 1st Degree Unlawful Possession of a Firearm, and Discharging a Weapon.
Just after 10 p.m. on May 9, 2024, SPD was informed that the suspect had left the medical facility against medical advice and his whereabouts were unknown. The search for the suspect ended around 3 a.m. in the Perry District.
SPD officers located the vehicle the suspect was driving when he left the medical facility and found the suspect as a passenger. SPD says the suspect was picked up by a female. 31-year-old Zachary M. Nelson was booked into the Spokane County Jail.
He is facing an additional charge in reference to a court order violation.
