The Calhoun County Sheriff’s Office has announced the arrest of a Moro man following a disturbance at a wedding reception. CCSO reports that it received a report of a disturbance at a wedding reception on Michael-Hamburg Road in Michael on October 5, 2024.

CCSO says 29-year-old Austin M Newell of Moro was arrested. He has been charged with Aggravated Battery – Person 60 Years or Older and two counts of Battery. Newell was booked into the Greene County Jail.
